Butterfly is an extension of the Google Chrome Browser that provides the Butterfly technology platform, which allows consumers to earn cash back online and in-stores. Automatically apply coupons and earn cash back at over 2,800 online stores including Walmart, Expedia, and Target and over 2,500 restaurants and retailers when you dine and shop in-store.

CardLinx recently spoke with Cary Chessick, CEO of Butterfly Saves.

How does Butterfly Saves fit in the card-linking ecosystem?

Most people that know us refer to us as the restaurant technology team. We have spent our careers in the restaurant industry building and scaling technology focused restaurant marketing and loyalty programs. Our primary focus in the card-linked offer space is adding restaurants to the Empyr platform, our long term partner.

Our business is unique by combining online cash back with big national brands with in-store cash back at local retailers. We built a unique a tech platform that adds another conversion funnel with the Chrome browser extension. The Chrome browser extension and the data that comes with it, gives us the ability to get the right offer in front of the right consumer at the right time. We are applying this data to the restaurant space.

Our Chrome browser extension is integrated into 2,800 online retailers. Customers earn cash back when shopping online with our browser. The combination of the two technology platforms gives consumers the opportunity to earn cash back online and in-store at restaurants and retailers, giving us a national footprint and a local experience bundled into one brand.

What are some ways CardLinx members can work with Butterfly Saves?

We are looking for partnerships that want to explore opportunities in either side of the network, restaurant or consumer, online or in-store. We are also looking for partners that will are interested in the data that comes with being in the browser, and the opportunity to use the browser to get the right offer in front of the right customer at the right time, online or in-store.
