Apple Card Launches with a Cash Backed Card-Linked Offers
Apple launched for all customers in the U.S. in mid August. Customers are able to apply for the card through the Wallet app on the iPhone, available for immediate use through Apple Pay. The titanium Apple Card credit card is powered by a partnership between Apple, Goldman Sachs and MasterCard and works as a traditional credit card. Users are incentivized to adopt the mobile-enabled Apple Pay with the Apple Card with up to 3% cash back offers. Uber is the first cash back discount offer but Apple is reported to be working with many other merchants to provide cash back offers.

MasterCard Acquires Nets – Biggest Acquisition Ever
MasterCard will buy Nets for 2.85 billion euros ($3.19 billion).This move was made 24 hours after the Federal Reserve announced the U.S. would develop and launch a nationally available real time payments system. With their acquisition of Nets, MasterCard will have access to an electronic billing and payments platform that offers clearing and instant payment services. Nets is one the leading payment franchises in the Nordic region of Europe. This market includes a number of the most tech-savvy nations in Europe such as Sweden, Norway and Finland.
